Quiet Boy (Sunday Artist Shindig)

Sunday 5th November, 7.30pm at Foodies.rocks, Northampton
Quiet Boy are a multi-instrumental 5 piece offering a heavy poly-rhythmic punch, all weaving lines of pretty piano, romantic strings and deep bass webs.  The band have recently enjoyed their first BBC 6 music play and have been recieving regular plays on BBC Kent Introducing and Amazing Radio. Quiet Boy’s Debut EP ‘Earwig’ is now available on iTunes and Spotify.

Accelerate: Audition Technique Masterclass

Saturday 21st October, 10am-5pm, The Doddridge Centre, Northampton

Applying to Drama School, College or University? Need to prepare or select audition material? Want to know what audition panels are looking for?
Looking to build your confidence?

Over the course of a day-long masterclass participants will work with Christopher Elmer-Gorry (Artistic Director of Warts and All Theatre) and James Clements (Warts and All Theatre Associate Artist).  The Masterclass will provide you with the opportunity to develop your audition technique, work on a monologue of your choice and prepare a song for upcoming auditions. It's a great to way build your confidence and hone your skills.

Summer Holiday Project: A Play In A Week

Monday 24th-Friday 28th July, Delapré Abbey, Northampton.
Exactly what it says on the tin! Help to write the story, rehearse the scenes and practice your brand new play over the course of a week, ready for it to be presented to your friends, family, parents and guardians.
Warts and All Theatre present a week long holiday project at Delapré Abbey in Northampton for children and young people aged 7-13.

Little Criminals by Evan Placey

What happens when the fairy tale tables are turned and you hear the other side of the story? But who are the real baddies here?!

The trial of the Little Criminals is about to commence. Join Little Red Riding Hood, Peter Pan, Goldilocks and many more famous characters as they face their fate.

Warts and All Theatre present Evan Placey’s poetic play at Delapré Abbey in Northampton. Directed by Christopher Elmer-Gorry (Hansel and Gretel, Warts and All Theatre at Delapre Abbey, Oh No! Not Snow! & Oliver! Royal & Derngate) and performed by the 8-11 and 11-14 Young Actors this play is suitable for the whole family.

Lebedek: Sunday Artist Shindig

For our July Sunday Artist Shindig we present Lebedek.
Drawing on the diverse cultural heritage and musical pedigree of its members, Lebedek present their unique and fresh sound of pan-European music. The four members of the band are all masters of their craft, and include a Ukrainian accordionist, a Macedonian violinist, a Polish/Dutch/Jewish violinist and a pure-bred Englishman!

Over the last few months Northamptonshire based writers have been developing new plays with Warts and All Theatre at Delapré Abbey. Now it’s time for us to share extracts of them and decide which 2 will be developed into full productions in 2017-2018. You decide.
We will share extracts of these new plays, presented by The Collective: Makers and The Collective: Performers and we will ask you our audience to vote for your two favourite plays.
